They are developed through education, experience, supervision, and self-reflection.

Our Professional Certificate in Psychedelic Facilitation was designed to provide all four.

This program combines self-paced learning with supervised experiential training, giving students the opportunity to move beyond theory and begin developing the practical skills needed to support others responsibly and ethically.

Throughout the program, students explore the science of psychedelics alongside the science of human behavior. Topics include preparation, facilitation, integration, trauma-informed care, ethics, neurobiology, nervous system regulation, communication, risk assessment, and professional responsibility.

Just as importantly, students learn to better understand themselves.

Every facilitator brings their own experiences, biases, strengths, and nervous system into the room. Developing self-awareness is an essential part of becoming a safe and effective guide.

What You'll Learn

Students will complete approximately 160 hours of education and supervised experiential learning, including:

• Self-paced online coursework
• Live cohort discussions and case consultation
• Observation of experienced facilitators
• Supervised facilitation internship
• Personal experiential learning (participation as a client or approved microdose experience may satisfy this requirement)
• Ethics and professional responsibility
• Preparation and integration planning
• Trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming approaches
• Final competency assessment

Internship Experience

Education provides knowledge.

Experience develops judgment.

Every student completes a supervised internship designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world facilitation.

Internship experiences include observing facilitation, assisting experienced facilitators, participating in supervision, and developing practical skills in preparation, presence, communication, and integration.

Students are also expected to participate in an approved experiential learning opportunity. For many students, a professionally facilitated microdose experience fulfills this requirement. The purpose is not simply to experience psychedelic medicine, but to better understand the client's perspective and the importance of preparation, safety, and integration.
